Be Consistent, Be Persistent, and Measure Your Progress
Firstly, being consistent will help you achieve your goals. This involves exercising at a consistent frequency. For example, if you choose to workout 3 times a week, try to maintain this consistency for a long period of time. There are times where life gets in the way of your plan. It happens! But if you still maintain a healthy lifestyle and aim to exercise frequently, you will succeed.
Secondly, being persistent is very important to stay on target. There will be times where you reach a point in your workout plan that is very difficult, or you get no change. This is normal! By staying on course, you will eventually breakthrough.
Lastly, you must always measure your progress! Why is this important? How do you know if you are actually making large strides in your fitness goals? Without writing your success and progress on paper, you won’t know if you have improved. This could involve your weight change, blood pressure, mile time, number of reps on the bench press, and much more. Always write down your progress!
