How to Eat on a Road Trip

When you are on a road trip, it can be hard to figure out what to pack. It may be easy to go grab a couple bags of chips or go out to eat. To maintain the Native eating lifestyle, here are some tips for the road:

  • Research the nearest grocery store with clean eating options
  • Stock up at the grocery store! It can be pricey but you have to invest in your health – and it’s usually not as expensive as eating out
  • Package wild catch salmon, spinach, sliced almonds or pine nuts with coconut oil – these are common ingredients you can find in any grocery store; and makes a great salad
  • Try an avocado on the side – great source for healthy fats
  • Pack blueberries, blackberries, red berries, bananas, coconuts, strawberries, and nuts for great in-between meal snacks
