Spiritual Well-being

Whether you turn to traditional culture, an organized religion, or to a higher power in a more personalized way, if you have a sense of connection to something larger and more meaningful than self, it can be helpful in times of stress and hardship.  

Spiritual well-being is best defined by each person. However, some themes many people may have in common include

  • Relaxation 
  • Taking time to commune with nature 
  • Reflecting deeply on oneself 
  • Feeling spiritually connected with others who share our belief systems 

Taking time out to take care of our spiritual selves is important to being healthy people.
