I am Imelda Martina Sanchez. I am a Native and Mexican American who has struggled a lot throughout my life and had overcome every bit of it. I lost many very important people in my life and have suffered a lot from it but I came to terms on the subject. I have been in and out of placement but have learned a lot from the places I have been and it made me who I am today. I am stubborn but in a good way, I am determined and strive for what I want. I am hard headed and well driven. I feel I have a lot of potential to reach any goal that I set my mind to.

I am enrolled in the Rosebud Sioux Tribe and I love the fact that id I need anything I can go to them and they’ll help me. I just have to ask. When I’m struggling then they help in any way that they can. My family is also enrolled in this tribe. Although me and my family are more involved with the Yankton Sioux Tribe. Most of my family live in BoneSteel, Wagner, and Lake Andes, SD.

I currently have been living Sioux Falls, South Dakota and my community is big and kind of chaotic. I love to play softball and use the computer and facebook. I also love to text!!!!!!!! I love music, especially Lil Wayne and my favorite song is Racks by Y.C Ft. Future. When you hear that song, you will think about Imelda Martina Sanchez!!!!!! I love to write and focus on school. I am going to go to college for either Surgical Technology or Graphic Communications.
